We will be discussing the Yearbook and giving out job assignments to each student. Our first major project will be selling ads and taking fall sports photos. Students will be learning how to take photos and put them on the computer. They will, also, be going over some salesmanship skills. |

When students aren’t working on the yearbook, they have the following Microsoft Publisher assignments to work on.
Read pp. 1 through 23 in the Microsoft Office Publisher 2003 textbook.
Print out the answers to any questions or the final copy of any project. Pass in.
Go over all the words in the glossary on pp. 255 through 259.
Use the textbook for a reference when including the following bullet items.
Newsletter—Valley High School (Contest on best format)
Quarter 1
Katelynn—Soccer and x-country news
Devin—Article on new staff members and important dates
Taylor—What’s happening in English History, Health, and PE classes
Hannah—What’s happening in Science, Math and Art classes Maria—Office internship and guidance news
Brittany—Library and Desktop Publishing News
The following assignments must include:
n a textbox
n bullets and numbering
n design gallery objects
n use of color and patterns—fill, text, and line
n a table
n at least one clip art
n at least one word art with shadows
n an image from a camera
n grouping and layering
n columns where they apply
n drop caps
n text wrapping
n text direction
n border art
n spell check—always use before printing
Each of you must work on the following assignments. You MUST complete at least two on the list each quarter (perhaps more depending on time).
